Mums expecting their second.. help?

So my son will be 2 and a half when second baby is born. I’m unsure if I should get a tandem buggy, side by side, baby carrier and my son’s normal stroller? Or one of those buggy board seat things for him. I have no clue need some help 😩

My baby is due the month before my son’s 2nd birthday and I’m honestly in the same boat, no idea what Im gonna go with yet🤣x

My little boy will be 21 months, I’m gonna get a side by side because tandems only go up 15kg so it wouldn’t last long. And I’ve heard shit things about buggy boards and how unstable they are especially when they ground isn’t flat! I am gonna get a baby carrier though and keep my sons stroller incase I have to get the bus

There’s 2.5 years between my first two and I did buy a double buggy but my oldest never wanted to use it so we just ended up using our single instead, I think it totally depends on your child and how much they walk etc x

@Natalya which side by side are you getting? I like the Ickle bubba one but I have no clue which other ones are out there x

@Emily he likes to walk but he also gets tired quickly and then starts to walk extra slow so I have no clue 😂

@Jessica I was looking at that one but it turns out that only has a 15kg weight limit too! So I’m looking at the out n about double nipper v5, I heard amazing reviews on it and it’s the only double pram with literally zero negative reviews. I’ve seen a review saying someone used one for 5 years and gave it to a local nursery and 16 years later it’s still going😂 I didn’t like the look of it first but it’s grown on me now!

I had a similar gap with my 1st two, I originally got one of the buggy boards with a seat on but found it so awkward pushing the pram with it on unless nice smooth ground without maybe turns to do 🫣 and ended up having to carry one or the other of the kids when the older one would get tired or slow on a walk! We ended up getting an out n about double when baby was 5 months and was a total game changer for us, I felt so much more free not having to worry about how far we went for a walk as my eldest could sit in there as and when he wanted to and it's a lovely pram to push around, has a high weight limit and fits through most standard doors too! I've just picked up a bassinet for the new baby to use with it off marketplace but they do newborn inserts too! My just 4 year old still sits in it sometimes but mostly likes to hitch a ride on the front 😂

@Charlotte I will take a look at that one! Thanks a lot 🥰

I've got a baby carrier already from our first and have bought a buggy board. Our little boy will be just over 3 though and has recently shown an interest in doing more walking without legging it 😂

We've still got our old travel system which were going to put a buggy board on for small trips and were getting a side by side roma gemeni for bigger days out and longer days as my toddler does not like walking too far and still had a pram nap now and again. I've found my almost 2 year old is too tall for a tandem so were going side by side she will be 2 n 4 months when new one arrives x

@Natalya have a look at the roma gemeni , it's a side by side that fits on the bus xx

@Jess ooo I’ve never heard of this one I’ll have a look! Thank you! Xx

My little girl will be 22 months and I’ve recently gone off my planned idea of a buggy board. A lot can change but I’ve realised I’ll definitely need a double pram, I’m looking at side by side instead of a tandem. Currently at the top of my list is the baby jogger mini gt but I’m still undecided! Somethings that have been suggested to me and I’ve found super helpful, get one that’s easy to fold, make sure it fits through your doorway and if you have a lot of steps, to avoid a tandem as they can be quite difficult and heavy at the front!
