Back pain from epidural

Hello July Mamas! Did anyone here have an epidural and is anyone having issues with their back 3 months on? I had an epidural on 26th July and 12 weeks on I'm having major pain in my lower back where the epidural went in. The area is still sore to touch and the pain feels like a ball stuck in my back (only way to describe it). Sometimes the pain shoots down my legs. What do I do? 😩 I didn't plan to have an epidural and now I'm having issues post birth, it's really affecting me mentally x

Didn’t have one with my 2024 baby but had this exact issue with my first. Here to tell you it does get better ❤️ but it takes a while. From memory mine was a lot better by 6 months PP and had almost resolved entirely by 9 months xx

I sometimes get shooting pain in my back that happens every now and again. X

I’m the same I had an unplanned last minute epidural on 29th July and severe lower back pain. Where abouts are you based? I went to see someone for muscle alignment which has really helped and also post natal reformer Pilates is helping too! x

I had an epidural on 1st aug and it wasn’t put in right. I still have discomfort, it feels like bruising but nowhere near as severe as you. My health visitor was pretty unhelpful tbh and said you’ll have signed consent for the epidural and long term pain is on of the risks, oh ok then. I did read though that it usually goes away after 6 months
