Feeling guilty for calling in sick

@Caitlin thank you! Just makes you feel so bad doesn’t it like even with my 3 miscarriages in the past I just cracked on & went in. This has wiped me though! I’m starting to feel a bit better already but I don’t know if this is my bodies way of saying just stop for a day mum 😂😂 I’ve got a couple of courses to do online so if I do those then maybe I won’t feel so bad! Xx
@Hollie I’m the exact same with my MC’s too, only a few people knew at the time but I knew myself I was better in work than staying in bed🥺 Sometimes you do just need a minute to stop and take a step back, get some ginger biscuits if you haven’t already, they stopped me yesterday wanting to hurl everywhere🥲 Do the courses and at least you’ll feel like you’ve done something🥰x
I’m a teacher and have said I’ll be off until at least after half term. I was trying to struggle on at school but I just couldn’t do it any more. I’m so nauseous and keep gagging/being sick a couple of times a day. the guilt is real but I’m just trying to remind myself that if I had flu or had had surgery, I wouldn’t feel guilty being off
I was sick up to 15 times a day with my first pregnancy! I also work in a school but I would just carry a bucket round with me and rush to the loos when I needed to be sick 😅 I only took one day off and that was when I vomited so much I started bleeding 😓

@Ella teaching assistant! I do take a group of children for individual learning every lesson… last time I was pregnant they knew me to have my bucket and there were times I was sick in the corridor and I had to leave my group
I totally get it! But easier said than done, but try not to feel guilty💕 Your body is going through a lot in this first trimester and it sucks! You have to look after yourself first❤️ (Coming from someone who had a stomach bug at age 9 and still adamant was going into school the next day for our Christmas Fair because I also hate taking time off when I’m ill for anything😅 Even after my last ectopic I was determined to go into work the next day after my injection but my mum told me to take the day off🥲)
