Cant believe this actually happened to me

My baby (6 weeks) was asleep for most of my grocery shopping trip and only started crying when we were at check out. I was alone so I’m tryna bag my shit quick and get out. He was strapped to his car seat and while I was heading toward the exit, I stopped to put all my change and receipts in my wallet and this woman walked up to me and asked me why don’t I pick up my son. I was like because were literally on our way to the car. She goes, well isn’t he going to cry in the car? I was so confused as to why she was even talking to me. I wasn’t going to unstrap him, hold him while pushing my cart out to the parking lot, just so I can strap him again. He’s fine, he just doesn’t like being in the car seat. I was already embarrassed and stressed about him crying so fuckin loud and everyone looking at me. And she had the audacity to walk up to me and suggest how I should manage my baby???? Idk I’m shaking and I feel like shit. This is like my 3rd time going out with him since I gave birth.

@Jody Haha Ikr I was literally shocked that she felt obligated to walk up to me just to say those things. I just gave her a nasty look and continued to walk out the door. Of course as soon as I got to my car I thought of all the things I should’ve said, but whatever

People are entitled. Next time, if you feel like they deserve it, just say “oh darn, I didn’t think of that!” With whatever advice they give. Often it’s related to not wearing socks or something.

Don’t feel bad. Ppl love to give women alone w children unsolicited advice. I find I get approached more when I’m alone than with my 6’5” 280 lb husband. Super annoying. First time mom me would’ve been upset too girl. Mom of two (current) me? I would’ve just ignored her completely and walked away 😂

Nothing like this has ever happened to me but I’ve prepared myself for if it ever does to say FUCK OFF🙃
