Tongue tie surgery

Hi ladies, my three month old son has a tongue tie and as he’s bottle fed he isn’t being referred by our HV. However I’m still concerned it’s causing him problems feeding, gagging and choking almost on his bottle. Does anyone have experience in getting their little one’s tongue tie done privately? If so, where did you have it done? Looking for recommendations. Tia

Yes! I got my sons tongue tie done at 10 weeks and it was a game changer for him feeding (and solids at 6m). We used Helen Roper and her company is Boobs Bumps Babi Ltd. She’s based out of Risca and Neath and is absolutely lovely and so knowledgeable (she’s a midwife too). She has a Facebook page and website https://bumpboobsbabi.co.uk/clinics/

Thanks for this info @Lydia really appreciate it! Glad to hear it was a game changer for you. How was your son after the procedure?

He was absolutely fine. It bled and he screamed for a moment but he was quick to calm and we’ve never looked back. Helen is amazing and offers all type of feeding support.

I second Lydia! We also used Helen to have our baby girls tie cut at 8 weeks old & it was the best decision we made! She is so knowledge and the advice / support is second to none! Our little has been brilliant since & her tongue movement has improved so much with the after care exercises Helen provides! X
