Newborn Farts A LOT

Hello! My 5 week old really struggles with gas. Now I know struggling is common for infants - but I mean like REALLY struggling. He farts like an adult male, I'm not kidding every 15 minutes or so whether he is awake or asleep. He squirms and struggle so. He is still pooping regularly and gaining weight etc. No excessive vomiting. He is formula fed and we've tried 2 different brands as well as the one he is now on which was recommended by the childcare nurse as it's for sensitive tummies. It's helped some but he still has so much gas! I just want to know if he is okay. Yes I brought it up to to GP and they said to wait it out a little longer. I'm worrying if he has some intolerance or infection in his digestion system. His gas issues doesn't even begin to compare to my firstborn which is why I am worrying. Anyone experience something similar? Was baby okay or did they need extra help with something? Father is lactose intolerant, I don't have any allergies.

my baby farts pretty often but isn’t in any pain he’s on kendamil which we love i would look into probiotics for your little one if he seems like he’s in pain look into goats milk kendamil has a goat milk its supposed to be easier to digest but definitely keep taking to your pediatrician if you think hes lactose intolerant you need a special formula

My boy farts like a real trooper and ones that you would think how the hell did that come out of him.. he squirms a lot to get the gas out too.. I actually went to the doctors today about that and they said he’s completely fine, checked his stomach etc. apparently it’s normal for formula fed babies. I feed my little boy cow and gate. One thing he did say was due to me feeding him demand he may be getting a little too much as times which is causing gas so he has recommended me to try and go back to a more fixed feeding schedule to see if that helps. Not sure if you are feeding on demand or if your feeding on a schedule x

My girl is exactly the same, she’s 11 weeks now and still having the same issue. I haven’t changed formula or anything (as advised) but it isn’t getting any better. I know their digestive systems take time to mature but thinking it’s getting a bit ridiculous now. My hv was supposed to call me last week but I’m still waiting and don’t know what else to do as I don’t want to be swapping and changing as I know that can make it worse 😔
