Baby measuring small

I went for a growth scan today (32+5 weeks) and it turns out baby is measuring incredibly small- about 6th percentile. They aren’t sure why and they’ve booked me in for further growth scans and are mentioning an induction of baby fails to make improvements in growth. I’m really quite worried even though they told me to try not to be, Ive been down so many Google rabbit holes and Im worried about the worst case scenarios like still birth- has anyone else experienced this situation and how did it turn out for you? What happened?

We were told my grandson was big and his mom might have to be induced at 38 weeks. They said he’d be about 9-10lbs and was measuring on rhe 98th centile. He was 7lb 15oz when he was born and they said he was on rhe 50th centile. Growth scans aren’t completely accurate

my baby was on the 5th centile and at 5 months still growing along his centile. I was worried when I was told this too however his estimated weight was 4lb 12oz and he came out 6lb 5oz so I would try not to worry xx

Have you been tested for preeclampsia? I started swelling & getting bad headaches from week 34 & got admitted into hospital as baby was measuring small. They tried to get me to 37 weeks & we had an induction booked in but things took a turn as she was using all her energy to stay alive and not to grow. But she was born at 36+3 weighing 4.9 pounds and is a happy & healthy 10week old now xx

@Megan they tested my urine at the same time yesterday and there were minute traces of protein in it, so I think they’re looking into that- it’s good to know your baby is ok congratulations! Do you think I should ask them some more about it?

Definitely ask the questions. Did they check the blood flow in the cord during the scan? Xx

@Megan they checked blood vessels in the cord and in baby’s brain and said both looked good, so maybe it isn’t that?? Bit of a mystery right now, so just sort of hoping maybe he’s just a little guy

@Sophie did they figure it out? Hope your doing well xx

@Megan no they haven’t, I seem to be fine and without preeclampsia but I’ve been back into triage for reduced movements AGAIN since and nobody knows why he’s quiet and small so it’s all a bit of a worry right now :( They said he could just be a small lazy baby but that doesn’t make me feel much better
