Change of Clothes

How many times are you having to change your baby’s clothes due to excessive drooling and/or spit ups? Despite bibs, baby’s clothes is always so wet I have to change his top/sleep suit and vest sometimes 2x in a day. Im constantly washing clothes because his laundry is building up so fast and Im trying to avoid buying more clothes so just trying to have a quick turn over of fresh dried clothes but it’s hard to keep up.

On our really good days, 0 changes! On our really bad days I think 6 different outfits is our record 🙃 she’s very sicky and has also started with runnier poops so plenty of blowouts haha

I can relate! I change his bib with every nappy change, but he still manages to completely soak the bibs, and all the layers underneath. I even bought the bibs with a waterproof back, but hasnt helped. Easily 4 top changes a day

I use Bibbilyboo bibs and they're amazing. Saves a full change and they match my LOs outfits. Worth the investment and the only waterproof bibs I've found to actually work x

@Toni oh noo! Bless her (and you!😅). J hope the good days outweigh the bad but hopefully the runny poops don’t go on for long xx

@Ellie aww bless him! So much clothes in a day for a small human isn’t it 😅 i’m here recycling tops with sick and drool all over because the laundry is insane 😅🥲 yeah totally hear you on the bibs with “waterproof” backs - useless at this point 😅

@Tam oh good to hear that you’ve found something that’s working for you - that’s amazing, thank you. I’ve not heard of this brand before. I’ll look into it xx

We also use bibblyboo and they are a ridiculous price but have been so worth it!

I'd say 5-6 outfit changes a day usually. We are often on a third outfit by the time we go on a morning walk because the spit-ups and vom are worse in the mornings. Not unusual for me to get through three outfits a day as well! The laundry is so intense we have bought a heated airer just to keep up!!

@Alison what is a heated airer?

@Shruti like a drying rack but you plug it in and it heats up like a radiator.

we've been really lucky with our LB in terms of we haven't had many poo explosions and he doesn't spit up LOADS so we've never had the issue of having to change him multiple times a day. HOWEVER, teething is hitting him full throttle now and when i forget to put on a bib, he soaks right through to his vest! I'd say nowadays it's probably 2 changes a day

@Alison awwh! Tell me about it, It’s a lot isn’t it. I too considered a heated dryer but also looking to cut costs ahead of the winter so just bought a second ordinary airer but I totally get the benefits of the heated one! Hope thats helping.

@Jasmine awww glad baby isn’t spitting up loads.. for us that’s been the case since he was born so that + teething is a nightmare😓 hope your baby is managing okay with the teething

@Alison thank you - sounds great!
