Poo stains on clothes

Question may sound silly but how do you get rid of stains? I’m finding it difficult to get rid of poo stains from my baby clothes. I rinse out first before washing in a hot cycle but still it leaves yellow marks on clothes.

Vanish stain remover

I used Milton on my baby's whites

The hot cycle might be setting the stain. I use fairy non bio with extra stain removal pods and wash on 40. That generally has worked well. The only time I’ve had an issue is with some food stains not coming out. You could try napisan/vanish

Rug Doctor’s Urine Eliminator before washing!

I just use a bit of detergent or fairy liquid usually works before I put in the wash and dry in sunlight

Sounds strange but fairy washing up liquid, literally melts the yellow out of the clothes and then it can go into the machine and comes out stain free 9/10. Sunlight is also great!

@Incognito is this safe to use as my baby has sensitive skin

@Bee thanks will definitely try this.

@Zoe heard sunlight is great for stains but we hardly get any sunlight lol 🙂

I do a prerinse on his soiled whites and then a boil wash with oxi white for all of his whites together

Pink stuff stain remover powder works wonders for me. Even gets dry bl00d out from monthly accidents 🙈 and for extra tough stains I spray vanish stain remover on 5 minutes before I throw it in the wash with pink stuff stain remover

I soak in oxygen/green bleach (check out Nancy Birtwhistle's social media). It's basically the stuff that is in the base of vanish oxy action and other similar products, but you can buy on Amazon for cheaper.

Washing up liquid & a nail brush. Use cold water to scrub it and rinse. I then put it in a cycle with stain remover for extra

Fairy liquid scrub before a washing machine cycle!

Out on the line works every time. Sunshine is the best but I've honestly left stuff out in wind and rain and stains have come out. Always try and rinse in cold water ASAP too, then wash then outside x

Napisan always works for us !

The pink stuff. You can get it at home bargains. Just soak in hot water with a scoop of powder for about half an hour and then put it in the washing machine with your usual washing stuff and a scoop of the powder in the little drawer. Comes out fine. Also gets rid of baby food stains x

Rinse the clothes in whatever detergent you use and put them in the sun, even if it’s raining. Then wash as normal. The sun is great to get stains out.

I pretreat it w a spray and it works even before the wash. If the load has a lot of stained clothes I pretreat AND put a scoop of stain remover powder in it, diaper loads and tea towel loads. Coz we use unpaper towels and all tea towels, nothing comes out stained. I don’t need to sun anything except one white table cloth that has meat stains which the pretreating didn’t work for

Sunlight!

Dreft stain remover and Dawn soap. Wash in cold water. Never had stains stay

Sunlight also works on windowsills inside :) i put the well rinsed item in a take away plastic box and on windowsill and the stains disappear

My MIL gave me some old-fashioned green household soap. Rinsing twice, soaking with a good rub of soap, then a 30 degree wash with Fairy non-bio seems to do the trick.

Sunlight!
