Sickness :( first trimester

Hey! I’m 20 nearly 21 and I’m 6 weeks today! Still early but my sickness is so bad all day every day, at first when it started I drank water and ate lunch time when I got hungry and it would ease for a couple hours. Also the same as waking up it would only last 2/3 hours and go. But now it lasts all day long. I’m struggling to eat and drink etc…. I haven’t actually been s*ck yet but I’ve had close calls at night time :( I don’t like ginger and I’m unsure the doctor will give me anti sickness tablets as I haven’t actually threw up… does anyone have any ideas or tips ? I’m down to try anything LOL X

I’ve also been in bed for days as I hate feeling sick I’m so tired and drained :( and this sickness is making me panic as I hate feeling sick :(

I’d love to say I’ve got some remedies but I haven’t and I’m the exact same as you. 🙃

Unless I fancy it or crave it, which is rare, I can’t eat :( the thing that’s keeping me from starving is honey cheerios, sipping water, and tropical juice x

I was the same with orange juice but then I threw that up and haven’t had it since 😂I’m living currently off cheese balls and krave haha xx

Try some peppermint tea xx

Doctors should prescribe anti nausea medication, I had it in my last pregnancy and I was the same with no actual sickness but feeling like I’d throw up constantly x

Stay away if you don’t like it it will make it worse: what about a fizzy drink like Lucozade just to get you through a little bit? X

try sickness bands, idk if they actually work but i had them at one point when things got too much and i did get better but idk if it was 100% them…always keep water/juice anything you can tolerate in a bottle with you constantly and just swig it ever few minutes. i wasn’t good at keeping food down and i hated ginger nuts, try any other plain biscuit/cracker or even nuts…again whatever you can tolerate in the moment. try to eat in the windows you don’t feel nauseas, getting something in your stomach really helps. maybe plain sandwiches? i always kept little snacks in my pocket at work like sweets, mentos, chocolate covered peanuts, anything small but light. also lucozade original!!! that has been amazing! possibly try vitamin waters/juices as well? good luck x

@Katie oh wow! I’ve not thought about that! Most likely because they are energy drinks. Are they okay for baby every now and then I have just been sipping water just got onto putting Ribena squash in my bottles of water xx

@Katie thankyou for the amazing reply! I will try all of these as I just can’t cope haha! I can manage to keep things down but it’s just eating it that’s the problem :(( I was OBCESSED with egg and cress sandwiches from tescos haha! But that craving has gone. Tonight’s craving was beans and cheese on a jacket potato which my mom made for me bless her! I’m getting there as I nearly finished the whole plate! But it’s no where near enough as much as I need for an evening meal compared to what I normally ate not pregnant! Thankyou for your positive words! Good luck to yourself too 🩷💙

Yes don’t make a habit of them but sometimes you need a boost! I have them once every 3 days and a fizzy pop imbegween when I’m feeling icky xx

Eat what you can at this stage nutrition probably isn’t top of the agenda, I’ve been having mainly starchy foods because I just want it lol you’ll be fine xx
