Work rant
So I work Monday to Thursday Friday being my nonworking day which I don’t get paid for and I’m very lucky to have that time with my two-year-old and 10 month old. My boss has asked me to arrange childcare so I can go to my Work Christmas meal on a Friday. I am so annoyed as I can do any other day but that. I don’t want to give up time for my kids for a work social with people I don’t actually like, not sure why I’m posting this but it’s really irked me!

Is it after work or during work time? You just say, sorry I can’t swap days and that’s that… If it’s after work it doesn’t matter what day it is, you’d need childcare, but if you don’t want to go that’s ok, but nice to be asked & feel included too

Surely the Christmas meal is optional? If you don’t want to/can’t go then just tell them. I rarely go to things like this at my work as they are often in the evenings so childcare would be an issue and also are expensive. I’d rather spend my time and money on other things 😂
