Anyone experienced spotting all the way through pregnancy?

I’m just looking for positive comments, I’m so anxious so don’t want any horror stories. I’m 16 weeks today, had little bits of spotting through the first trimester and it’s started again last week. I’ve started getting tiny clots, nothing major. Baby and my cervix was checked yesterday and everything is absolutely fine. The doctors and consultants are not concerned. I still can’t help worrying when I see bits of blood. Has anyone else experienced this throughout their pregnancy?

Hey, I had spotting throughout my pregnancy, I think till I was around 20 or so weeks! Everytime I saw it, I totally freaked out.. so I really feel for you. I went and got checked out each times and was re assured baby was alright. So all I can suggest is that you do the same.. when I had a ‘intamate scan’ They said I did have some cysts on my ovary’s..( which where totally safe & normal apparently) So I’m not sure if they were linked to it at all. They couldn’t really explain to me why i kept having spotting, they just said it happens sometimes throughout pregnancy. I kind of put it down to the fact I had really heavy periods before I got pregnant.. so I’m not sure if it was something to do with that or not.. But long story short, as scary as it is… please try and not to worry, as I think stress will probably make it worse. Get checked out if you need re assurance, I think it’s more common then we think..

Im 34 weeks pregnant and it’s my first, and I feel for you because it’s so hard not to get anxious especially as I had never heard of anyone spotting before whilst pregnant. Sending you lots of love, I’m sure you and baby will be fine! Keep an eye on it, get plenty or rest and don’t be afraid of getting checked out and seeking re assurance if you need it! .

@Jessica thankyou for this, just helps knowing I’m not the only one. I had a lot of bleeding again this morning so I’ve spoken to a nurse who’s not concerned as I don’t have any pains. It’s just horrible to see. Xxx
