Toniebox

What is everyone’s opinion on these? I’m wanting to get my little girl one of these for her birthday but I don’t know if they are worth the money.

Forgot to mention my little girl is 1 year old in December

I think it might be better when they’re a bit older

We love ours, got it at Christmas when my eldest was 18mo, but he’s using it more than ever now he’s 3. They’re fantastic, and you definitely can use it with littler ones, but if you’ve got other ideas then it’s definitely something you could hold off on until next year.

We’re planning on getting one for Christmas for my 2 year old as he loves singing and dancing and likes a story. It’s got to be better than the tv. My friend has had one for her son from about 18 months old and said they’re great

We got one when our eldest was 2 and to be honest she didn’t really show much interest in it until she was about 3 and a half. She’s now nearly 5 and she only likes the princess ones so we are a bit limited as she won’t use any other characters

Thanks everyone. I might wait till she’s 18 months old and get it so her as a little present then. Poor babs her birthday is 3 days before Christmas so she’ll be getting all her presents within 3 days😅x

My eldest is New Year’s Day and it is a pain

@Louise She wasn’t due until the 15th of January so she was born 3.5 weeks early x

I was due around the 5th then I was induced on 30th. She turns 5 this time and each time it’s got harder to decide what to get. People either buy a combined present or she ends up getting clothes or vouchers for her birthday. I’ve started doing lists which I send round then I just split it all in half

@Louise I’ve just asked for things for the next age bracket 24-36 months toys and clothes as I’ll buy her the in between things x

We bought our baby one when he was 6 months old, it’s now part of our bedtime routine and he will lay in bed at bedtime and listen to the story and fall asleep to it. Obviously he doesn’t quite understand as much as a 2/3 year old would but I 100% day get one xx

Overpriced. Get a yoto. It reads stories

@Peytra Oo what’s that? I’ve never heard of it before x

It's a little box you put laminated cards into and it reads stories. The card packs are like the same price as just one tonie character and you can get the yoto mini so it's portable

@Peytra That sounds good. I’ll have to have a look at them. Thank you☺️x

Yep! But also, I would do stuff like balance bikes, instruments, shape sorters, and 3d puzzles like coin drops and pulling things with pincer grasp. I plan on getting the yoto this year because my son is almost 2. Some one year olds don't really care for the complex stuff

My daughter had hers just before she was 1 she’s 2 and a bit now and we use it every day. Worth every penny. I did go on to buy a yoto mini because the Tonie has been such a hit but she hasn’t really given it much attention the cards aren’t as interesting to a little one.
