Constipation

My 2 week old has been having constipation issues and I can’t seem to help her any. Does anyone have ideas to try and help her have a BM. I’m at a loss and I feel so bad for her

Aww..Have you tried a warm compress on the tummy followed by a massage and some bicycle kicks?

@Oyin I haven’t tried the warm compress but I’ve definitely been massaging her tummy followed by bicycle kicks. Only thing I’m able to get out of her is gas. Which I’m sure is helping but still hasn’t had a BM

My baby didn’t poop for 3 days and I just kept massaging her tummy and doing bicycle kicks and she eventually went and she’s had at least one BM since then

I was also told to use a rectal thermometer to see if that helped loosen her up. I was also told that infants not pooping for a few days is normal.

@Ariana okay that makes me feel a little bit better. I’ll definitely keep massaging etc. thank you

Baby’s can go a few days without pooping, but exclusively breast fed babies can go 7-10 days without popping

Probiotic drops! And gas drops!

tummy time helped us! it’s not normal for anyone to go sibling without pooping

Infant probiotics helped my baby girl. It’s like she couldn’t poop and was extra fussy/ irritated. This baby hasn’t used a pacifier since birth and barely cries… and she was hollering! I tried it out and it did wonders. She pooped the same day after using early in the morning bottle.

TRY WINDIS from Frida baby! I can’t explain why but it helps so much! It has helped my 3 week old like nothing else has. He has been struggling with constipation and it works GREAT !!!

Windi the gas passer! I hope it works for you the way it’s work for me, it’s amazing.

@Shamela what probiotics did you use?

@Sahra Morgan I’ll give it a try thank you!

If her umbilical cord has fallen off, try a warm bath and rubbing her belly during. A gf of mine has a baby with severe constipation and she said that was the only way to get her daughter to go when she was small.
