Bedtime potty training

My daughter is 4 and has no interest in being nappy free at night.. we've tried waking her and putting her on the toilet and restricting fluids before bed. But no matter what she will still go in her nappy. I don't know whether she's pure lazy or not ready? Anyone have any amazing tips and tricks?

You can’t train kids for night time - it’s purely hormonal. My little boy is 4 too and still wearing a night nappy

It's not something you can train. It's hormonal so you just have to wait until they're ready. Mine happened to be dry at night a few months after potty training at 3ish but I know of much older kids in pull ups at night. It's fine!

My boy is 4 and still has to wear a night nappy, sometimes it's dry and sometimes it's completely soaked x

When I potty trained my daughter she only had a nappy on for a week or so at night she's 2... I don't restrict fluids as it doesn't make a difference tbh and I don't wake her and she is fine, get a waterproof mattress protector for just incase and see how they go, my son was wearing a nappy for about a year or so after potty training and was still peeing in his nappy and one night I forgot to put one on him and he was dry.. He was 3 then and never looked back since... Think my sons had 2 accidents and my daughters had 1

Following this! I took my daughters nappy off as she has about 10 days of dry nappies. She had a few accidents then for 2 weeks was fine. Now for the last 2 weeks she’s had at least one accident every single night. I am so conflicted between allowing her to continue having accidents till it gets better or putting a nappy back on!

She's been potty trained since she was 2 so been in nappies at bed for another 2 years on top.. I feel like I'm at a dead-end with it

@Chloe Just take the nappy off, she won't like having accidents as will make her wet and make her want to either go or will learn to hold it, but at the same time if she is dry during the day does it really matter at bedtime until she is ready? I only stopped with my son as I forgot one night and he was dry... Yet the night before had a full nappy of pee, so I think sometimes it's knowing that they can pee that makes them do it

Ahh yes that Is true.. maybe I'll try that get some bed protectors and give it a whirl! Thank you everyone

My daughter was dry in the day at 2. She is now 4 1/2 and still in a night time pull up. She will either wake completely dry or soaking wet. I think she will be closer to 6 by the time she is dry at night. It doesn’t bother me & no one at school knows she wear one at night. It can’t be taught, they have to be ready themselves!! I’m just waiting it out.

It's a biological and hormonal thing that can't be trained. Just wait until you have dry nappies overnight.
