Pineapple

Is pineapple actually good for softening your cervix and when do I start eating it?

I had a student midwife suggest it and the actual midwife didn’t say it won’t work so I’d assume it’ll do something. I’m starting all that stuff when I hit 36 weeks

@Bex what else will you be trying?

Walking is my enemy currently so most things suggested are off my list but I’ve got a ball to bounce on might order a curry but I’m just gonna hope

I ate a big bag of pineapple with my first and was in labour the following day, baby came a week early. Could be coincidence x

I’m fairly sure I read that studies have shown you’d have to eat something crazy like 8 whole pineapples to even have a chance of it doing something! But having said that, it’s a healthy snack so if you fancy it there’s no harm giving it a go! X

@Jules I’ve been drinking the red leaf raspberry tea mixed with pineapple juice so hoping having fresh pineapple daily will be an extra help 🤞🏻

It certainly can’t do any harm :) xx
