Small femurs ?!

Had a fetal growth scan a few days ago and slightly worried due to babies femurs being below 5% centile? Anyone else had anything like this and all been ok?

Try not to worry about it sometimes baby's position can alter how the scan data is I had two different scans last week and both read different and there was only few hours between x

Hiya! Not sure if this helps but I’m 30 weeks today & at my 28 week midwife appointment they said baby had gone from 30th to 5th percentile and sent me for a growth scan. Sonographer wasn’t too concerned and said he was on 12 percentile but was worried about femur length (measuring 11th percentile so a little bit higher) so sent me down to have scan reviewed by a doctor. The doctor told me it was all a load of nonsense and that depending how baby was laying and how the leg was tilted that it’s really hard to measure the femur bone accurately. Plus I’m only 5foot so baby unlikely to have long legs🤣x

@Alice oh amazing. Thank you so much. They have me booked back in in 3 weeks time for another scan, so hopefully will be okay🤞🏼 I think their main concern was that he’s dropped from 28th to 5th xx

@Lucy thank you ! Xx

My first baby had a femur that measured below the 3rd centile my entire pregnancy. And his EFW was below the 10th centile the entire time too. I was induced at 37 weeks due to IUGR and he was born weighing 5lbs 4oz. He’s now a happy and healthy 1 year old (1st birthday was last week) who has just started walking 😊 He’s small for his age but has no developmental issues.
