Our boy was straight into size 1s so we donated our 0s after he was born. As above we used cotton wool & water for a while then found Amazon wipes our fav. We switched from pampers nappies about 6 months to Aldi ones. Our boy wasn’t particularly sensitive to anything though & I know a number of babies who had to have specific brands so I’d hold out once you’ve got some of everything. This time we’ll have pampers ready and cotton wool along with the wipes we use for our 2 year old but we’ll buy and adapt as we go. I think we over-prepared with our first.
This is so helpful thank you both so much! Yeah I'm trying to control what I'm buying a little bit as I know they grow out of things so fast haha, but also want to be prepared enough as well it's a balance haha
Can’t beat Aldi nappies and wipes - we’ve used them since my lg was born and is now 3! (Not ready to potty train unfortunately). She is allergic to pampers and Huggies so I wouldn’t buy too many different types in case of that reason. The aldi sensitive wipes are great x

That’s a good idea - we love water wipes and so could never have too many packs because been using them for 15 months. Of course if you end up with a preference don’t want too many of one. They also recommend cotton wool & water over wipes to start with though water wipes because of their ingredients are ok to use instead. We did both for the first 2 weeks and then just used wipes. But cotton wool pads are good to have on hand too. Also bought reusable soft cotton wipes. For poo we just used the water wipes. But the cotton wipes were nice for just a wipe and used a different colour for bird baths around the eyes etc. Nappies is size dependent but my girl was in 0 for a while so a box of 200+ kept us going for a while. They can go through 8-10/day which gets let’s as they grow. So maybe a box worth of 0 and 1. Some babies can go straight to size 1. We loved pampers and find Amazon deals when they come up best on price.
