Genetic testing predicting the gender

How accurate is the genetic testing when it comes to gender? Do I trust what it says or should I wait for the anatomy scan to trust the gender?

I read that it’s 98-99% accurate!! We got our results today.

It's not a 'prediction', it's literally your child's DNA

It can be wrong, but the NIPT specifically is over 99% accurate. OTC claim to be 98% accurate. They can all be wrong, if it’s NIPT it’s really rare, if it’s OTC it can be a mess up while doing the test or wrong. I just got my NIPT done today and I’ll likely know within the week, but I’ll still wait to buy things until the anatomy to make sure. The anatomy can also be wrong though… so I mean it’s up to you 🤷🏼‍♀️

It is pretty accurate. I received my results today as well! My last child it was accurate. I believe it's accurate with this child as well

Genetic testing is prob more accurate than anatomy scan tbh

Thanks.

It’s been accurate with 4/5 for me. We will find out if it’s accurate for the 5 when I have my anatomy scan.
