Ultrasound sound worries

So.. back story Husband and I have been trying for a baby for 1year. We have had positive pregnancy test but then I would bleed a couple days later. 3 weeks ago I went o the doctor to confirm this pregnancy. They got me at 8 weeks but then we did an ultrasound and there was just a sack, the tec said she thinks I’m way earlier then 8weeks. So no worry’s. Now my doctor is saying she wants to check if I’m have a miscarriage because my dates are off and I’m kinda worried but I do think I was early like they said. I don’t have an ultrasound in the morning and I’m super nervous and worried there is no baby. I’m just confused and concerned. Any advice or thoughts?

when i got pregnant i thought i miscarried because i bled some. i rushed to the hospital where they did an ultrasound and a blood test. at the time i still hadn’t had my initial OB appt so i had no idea how far along i really was. Doc came in and said blood test was absolutely positive. they wouldn’t let me see the ultra sound however they told me they couldn’t see anything. he said he believes it’s because i’m too early. sure enough at my initial OB appt there she was 🥹 and i was STILL measuring early. not quiet 8 weeks i think 7 and some days? don’t lose faith mommy 🩷 i know it’s stressful all i did was google everything those weeks. try no to do that, it makes the anxiety worse. try distracting yourself the best you can and give you bean some time to grow! 🫶🏻

Initial dating before ultrasound is based on your cycle. However, not everyone ovulates on the day they "should" based on their cycle, especially if you have an irregular cycle. It is 100% possible that by cycle date you're 8 weeks but you ovulated later than expected and therefore are less along than expected

I had this happen because:1) irregular cycles and 2) I got pregnant with help from a fertility clinic and fertility meds. Based on the cycle date at my ultrasound, I was 6 weeks, but because of meds, I know exactly when I ovulated, and I was only 4 weeks along.

I went in for what should have been an 8 week ultrasound and they dated me at only 6 weeks. They couldn't really see anything. I'm now 26 weeks.
