So tired..

I have an 8 month old and I'm about 7 weeks pregnant. My son wakes up once a night to eat and usually stays up 2-3 hours so I am absolutely exhausted as is and now that this pregnancy fatigue is kicking in I genuinely don't know how I'm gonna get through it 😭😭

Do you feed in the dark? Do you bring the bottle to baby or are you taking him out the cot then making the bottle?Have you tried just putting him in the cot and not engaging once his fed? I had two children under one so I know how hard this is, luckily my daughter was a good eater so I started dropping the middle of the night feed. You'll get there

@Anita yes we feed in the dark and I have to get him up to feed him or he won't stop screaming and once he's done eating and I sit him up to burp he's just wide awake..

How many naps does he take? Split nights are typically either over tired or undertired ha which it can be tricky to figure out which one. Is he like up and ready to play? Or awake but upset and struggling to go back to sleep?

Does he definitely need a night feed or is it habit now? x

@GMF he takes 2 most the time but occasionally 1 but when he only takes one he's so fussy all day. When he wakes up at night he is just ready to be up and play smiling and battling and just looking around he doesn't start getting fussy and rubbing his face trying to go back to sleep until 2 or 3 hours after

@Katherine honestly I don't know how I would know if he needs it I guess I can try to just try to rock him back to sleep tonight and see if that will work instead of jumping to a feed

@Ashley awake and happy during a split night usually means undertired, I would just look at your schedule and make sure nothing needs tweaking. Average sleep totals at that age are 12-15 hours including naps. Also could definitely be a regression, 8-10 months can be super challenging with sleep because they learn so many new skills.

I just wanna come to say I was three months pregnant with twins when my daughter was six months. It gets better my love.

@GMF yeah he's been doing this since about 5 months old ☹️ I think I'm gonna just see how he handles the day. We let him set his own broad schedule. Like right now his nap is around 1-2pm just whenever he falls asleep and then his second nap is somewhere between 6-7 pm again whenever he falls asleep and then he goes to bed at the same time every night and wakes up on his own at the same time every morning. He's been fighting the last night so maybe it's just time to cut it out

@Jasmine I couldn't imagine twins draining you with a baby that young 😭 im ready for the burst from the 2nd trimester already lol

@Ashley Yeah try that, I did this and that how we dropped the feed x
