Colic or Very Early Teething?

I’ve assumed my baby has been suffering with colic due to the 2+ hours every night he cries for (starting around 8/9pm). However tonight he settled quite quickly once he started crying and I lay him down. He was calm, but was making spit bubbles. I waited 20-30 minutes before trying to feed and he latched, made a few suckle attempts, and then started screaming again. I’m wondering if this is purely colic or if it’s very early teething symptoms - he’s 9 weeks on Wednesday. Any thoughts? Any advice?

Could he be going through a witching hour? My little boy cried non stop from 6-9pm during this period.

@Sarah I think he may be. It’s a crazy time!

@Sarah I know every baby will be different but how long did this last for yours? ☺️

Unfortunately I can't really remember but it was a month or so. What helped us was to take him out into the garden. He found the change of air and lights that he could see in the sky quite calming. He still cried a bit but it wasn't as distressed. Good luck.

@Sarah thank you!
