Pelvic girdle pain

I’ve just been told I have pelvic girdle pain after weeks of not being able to sleep and feeling so fed up. I’m 30 weeks now and definitely leaning towards an elective section to have a date to work towards and to know that baby won’t come late 😅. Has anyone had the same situation? Was also planning to work up to 37 weeks but feeling more and more like I just want to chill asap

I think I’ve got this. Been to Ikea today and I’m done for the day which I find odd because I am on my feet all day at work normally. But the pain in my groin both sides is painful. Im off this week but due to be working right up until 39 weeks. Now I’m not sure if I’ll be able to.

Also got PGP, had it since 20 weeks and it’s got progressively worse. Rest as much as you can ❤️

I have suffered with PGP since 25 weeks and I’m also 30 weeks….has your midwife referred you for physio? I joined an online physio session that gave a few good tips to incorporate to your day, it hasn’t made massive changes but has hopefully slowed the progression. Pregnancy reflexology has also been recommended to me to help ease the pain working the pressure points so I have my first appointment for that tomorrow 🤞🏼

I’m 32 weeks on Thursday and have had pgp since around 20 weeks. It’s horrible and I feel for you, the pain in my groin, both sides like you, is agony! I bought a support band which does help and a pregnancy pillow to support both my back, my bump and my pelvis all at once, would strongly recommend one of those, I got mine on Amazon! Also speak your midwife, they may be able to give you an earlier c section if you’re in the much pain! Good luck mama, hope you get some relief soon!

Also have this...got my crutches today because I can hardly walk 😭 I've made it further in this pregnancy before getting crutches than I did last time - I'm 29 weeks tomorrow, last time it was around 23 weeks. Honestly I can't say I've found anything that helps. Walking too much makes it worse, sitting too much makes it worse, lying down too much makes it worse...I just have to kind of find a balance which is hard when I'm at work and have 2 older kids that need entertained 😩

Sharing a recommendation that has really helped with my PGP, a colleague told me to fold a duvet in half and put it under the sheet on my side of the bed. It’s definitely made sleeping more comfortable and I’ve been able to get more sleep. Also I really recommend a yoga ball!
