Many mom have to do this. If it really bothers you, maybe you can start by working on addressing the anxiety. This way, you can eventually open doors for yourself to have a more flexible schedule. Explore where the guilt is coming from. Are you comparing yourself to others? Does your child seem to be negatively impacted by the arrangements? Also, maybe you could be sure that the time you do have with her is quality time so you can have a strong bond with her despite limited time.

Is sounds like the same thing as a before and after school care/program. I live in Philly that’s what we call it. And yes I know many moms that do this. My daughter preschool already has before and after care so she’s just there unfortunately 8-10 hours a day. I pick up shifts at my job so it can be a lot that’s why we take many breaks. But for someone that has to do 9-5 you have no choice. You get use to it too. And there are benefits for the child, homework help, social skills. Entertaining the child, it all helps. How old is your child?

Thank you ladies..My daughter is 8 and she's coping but will mention its occasionally and get upset.I ve got no choice and I hope she will understand but I do feel guilty.not sure how purple do it tbh...I don't have anyone here and I need to work.. I miss her assembly every Friday as well..its rubish...I feel like a bad mother and I know she does get upster about me not being there for assembly.

I used to go breakfast club bc I was late to school a few times for over sleeping. it was kinda fun, we got to chat to friends before school and got fed 😂 I'm sure your child is having a blast and knows their mama is trying to support them and is doing amazing with what she has.

This is a podcast from a mom that I met on Peanut about Mom Guilt. I recommend her show to any moms. She covers different topics and her voice is so soothing. 😊 I hope you can give it a try.
