Do you have to pay for scan photos at your NHS trust?

We have to pay £5 per scan photo at our hospital and it got me to thinking if it’s the same everywhere 😂

In Scotland you don’t anywhere I don’t think. I had mine today. Got like 12 different pics she went happy with the printer/camera I think 😂

Yeah we had to pay £5 just for one photo! Not only that but we had to go and pay, get the reciept and go back with the reciept before we got the picture! We also only got the option of having multiples of that same image rather than lots of different images 😂

My letters do advise of the £5 cost but they haven't charged us for any x

We were told they are £2.50 each but went today and were just given 4 so I assume we just had to pay if we wanted more 🤷‍♀️

There are signs up saying you should pay but you get given the photos without paying 🤷‍♀️

£5 or 3 for £10. I got 4 for £10 in the end

We are supposed to pay here now but the machine was broken so they gave us 1 photo, 3 times over 🙈 With my daughter in 2022, we got about 8 different ones free of charge

Ours is £5 a photo but the sonorgapher said to just pay for 1 but she will print off 4 :)

What! I live in the northwest and have had quite a few scans as I needed some emergency ones and got given loads and didn’t get asked to pay. Maybe my luck will run out when I go for my 20 week scan in a few weeks 😂

i got 3 different photos for £5 xx

in 2021 when i was pregnant with my son, i was told by someone that i would have to pay for photos but yet all the photos i received were free, so i think it must be different in each hospital etc. i’ve got my 12 week scan tomorrow so ill let you know if we have to pay haha xxx

Yeah don't even get 1 free then pay additionals, it £5 straight up and in cash at my hospital so more annoying if you don't carry cash like me 🙄 scrambling around sending then other half to the other side of the hospital to get cash out 🤦🏼‍♀️

Free in Scotland, that’s mad £5 per scan

I’m from north East and I payed £4 each for mine as of last month xx

I paid £10 for two photos but she gave us 6 and said not to tell anyone 😂

Be nice to your sonographer and they usually print a load extra for free!

The scenographer told us only to pay for one, she gave us around 7. They said they were told if they didn’t charge then the scan printer was being taken away 🙈

It’s the same in Nottinghamshire but it depends who you get cos I’ve never had to pay for them always been given them for free!

On my letter it said we would have to pay, but they ended up just giving us 4 for free 😊

Usually £5 each but the lady who did my scan gave me three free because the baby was camera shy and it took a while to get a good pic xx

I expected to pay as that's what it said in my hospital letter. However, when I got to the scan, the photo machine was broken so the sonographer printed a big roll of photos for us. We had 2 different scan photos and around 4 copies of each! Got lucky I guess! 🤷‍♀️ (Warrington, UK)

Free in Scotland but there's a leaflet asking for donations in the envelope

I live in Cardiff and here it’s £5 for 3 pics but when I actually went they gave me 5 and still charged £5

One free and then £7 each by me!!! 🤦🏽‍♀️

We have to pay £5 for 1 or £10 for 4

I went to Medway hospital and we didn't pay we got given three free photos 👀
