I had this exact thing and have been having them for about 2 weeks now.. 40 weeks tomorrow and still no baby I’m afraid!
Cramping is really common in the final weeks and can persist for hours, days, weeks before labour. Impossible to predict until they start becoming contractions
I’m 39 weeks and have had this for about 3 weeks now. Still no sign of baby
I am 38+1 and I’ve been having these period type pains (sometimes quite sharp) for the last 2 weeks. At times it actually hurts to stand up after sitting for a while and I have to give myself a minute to adjust. Everything is fine, and no sign of labour actually starting yet for me!
I got this at 36 weeks, I’m now 38 and still no sign of baby- still having the pains on and off that shoot through to my back, hopefully baby will arrive soon x
Oh these comments are so disheartening. I was really hoping I wouldn't have these same pains for weeks 😭
This is what I had for a day or so before going into labour so it could be, but it could go on for a while or it could just be baby engaging more.
