Constipated baby HELP

My 8mo daughter is so badly constipated. She’s opening her bowels everyday but they are pebble to long hard stools. I’m trying everything giving pears, prunes etc… she did do a soft poo a few days ago but now it’s gone hard again. She has gone on a food and water strike and doesn’t want to eat/drink as she usually does. She’s in pain when pooing. I’m trying everything like massages etc can anyone advise/any tips? She’s opening her bowels everyday is a good sign but it’s still hard

Try some warm boiled water

Homemade apple sauce sorts my 7momth old out x

Try some boiled fennel water. Fennel is the main ingredient in gripe water. Add about 2 tablespoons of fennel to 1 litre of bottled water and boil on a med heat until the water has reduced by 1/3. You can then use it as you would a cordial. 1:4 ratio with 4 being water. Try this no more than x3 a day. Too much and it can have laxative effects Hopefully this works. If your baby is BF you can drink the fennel water with 1:3 ratio 3 being water and have a glass every few hours. Keep the fennel water mixture in the fridge and it'll last a week. When giving it to baby add it to warm water before drinking, better than cold x

Oh bless her. Maybe she needs a gentle laxative like lactulose

Chat to the GP, lactulose or movicol is probably needed. Have a look at the Eric website also, some great advice for childhood constipation. One to get on top of quickly, as their bowels can stretch really easily and then they lose the sensation to go for a while until it all tightens up again. By any chance, are you giving weetabix or banana? I found with my first born that these absolutely blocked him up, switching to oats made all the difference.
