Is this a cows milk intolerance/allergy?

Our 8 week old has always been very fussy, during and after feeds she is quite squirmy. I’ve always felt she looks like she has a tummy ache and is often unsettled and upset. I’ve always put down to colic but wondered if she has cmpa? Going to doctors today and any advice appreciated. She is currently on kendamil with pro comfort drops and I’ve tried infacol and colief which didn’t seem to work xx

My baby girl is 9 weeks and the exact same but is breastfed! I’ve always thought it was colic as she suffers so bad with wind but wondering if she has an allergy to something maybe I’m eating!

I’ve had the same with our little one. So much that he gave himself a hernia from pushing / crying so much: the GP said on multiple occasions that it was super unlikely to be a cows milk allergy or intolerance but we started him on colief last week and he’s completely changed temperament. Just to sort of say even if the GP say unlikely, it might be worth speaking to a lactation consultant who specialise in babies etc as I found out gp have pretty poor advice. Hope you get some relief / answers soon! X

My first baby had cmpa and tbh you’re more likely to see other symptoms along with it rather than just being unsettled. How are her poos? Is she sick at all? Any rashes? Could it be reflux or silent reflux as that can cause a lot of discomfort also

Depends on if she has other symtoms. My little one was super unsettled on kendamil anyway so we switched her formula but then she ended up with mucus and blood in her stool so we are currently trialling an allergy formula. I wouldn't say just having discomfort is down to an allergy could just be she's not getting along with the milk.
