Calf cramps???

Anyone else’s calves just INSANELY sore?? I feel like I can’t get a good stretch anymore without a big Charley Horse coming on, and it’s made my calves soooo tight and sore. If you’re experiencing this too, what has helped? This momma is OVER IT lol!!

YES! Honestly all that has helped me is applying heat, taking baths, and having my partner massage my calves. It is the absolute worst I’m sorry you’re going through it :(

Yes, I was getting Charley horses overnight. Now I stretch my legs and calves for like 5-10 minutes before bed EVERY NIGHT and drink plenty of water for hydration in the evenings. It’s been a gamechanger and my calves feel so much better and don’t cramp up anymore.

What stretches did you do? Cuz I’ve been having this problem as well where I can’t fully stretch when I need/want to without feeling a cramp coming on

Start off with just wiggling your toes. Then move into calf raises, with your feet straight. Then turn your feet in toward each other and do some calf raises, then turn your feet away from each other (heels in) and calf raises. This is all to simply loosen the muscle.

my OB said you need more magnesium they have a powder you can put in a drink or get pills

I bought this magnesium sleep lotion from 8 Sheep organics that has really helped. I put it on my legs before bed, and it’s a life changer. Also making sure to stay hydrated and eat bananas for potassium.

Yesssss! I can’t stretch in the morning anymore and that was always my favorite part. Following to see what helps lol

Put LMNT in your water! You need more sodium than normal

@Burgundie mainly just stretching my foot around bc it’s so hard to bend down or do a downward dog now to really get them stretched out :// but I’m definitely going to look into all of the advice the girls on here gave bc I am ready for relief lol!

Magnesium, calcium and hydration. I can tell when I miss one and get foot/calf/shin cramps soooo bad at night.

I was calcium deficient and took calcium pills and that helped alot, also magnesium, but do not take them at the same time because of absorption issues, also do not take calcium along with iron rich foods, they will mot let each other be absorbed.
