Post-partum pains

Had a vaginal birth on Tuesday, quite straight forward. I have been suffering with some discomfort / light pains on my legs, back and head since giving birth. My legs and feet were also quite swollen but they seem to be doing better today. I was losing small clots of blood the day or 2 after giving birth (doctors weren’t worried), but now I am not losing a lot of blood anymore, which is weird. I admit I am not sleeping a lot since giving birth and obviously have interrupted sleep too with a newborn. My question is when can I expect to feel normal again? (Without the discomfort or pain I am currently experimenting).

I also just gave birth on Tuesday! So congrats to us! But I would reach out to your provider if your head keeps hurting and you continue to be swollen. I had to be on magnesium for 24 hrs and stayed swollen till about Friday. Feeling "normal" is relative lol but maybe give yourself a few weeks. Rest up as much as you. Even if you feel up for regular tasks I suggest to still take it easy .

Would call your doctor about the leg pain & swelling. Feeling normal can happen after a few weeks once everything is healed...

I gave birth 6 days before you and I feel pretty normal now. I’m still bleeding pretty decent. But had almost all you had except leg pain. I was swollen for a couple days though.

@Emily legs and feet don’t seem swallon anymore. But it’s the bottom part of the leg and feeet (it’s more like discomfort), and near the groin area is a bit swallow still
