Cramping

I’m 9+5 today and have had mild cramps on and off for the last 6 hours, no bleeding and it’s not painful enough that it takes my breath away, can just feel it in the background. Could this be the placenta forming? Has anyone else had cramps like this that last for over 6 hours and been fine? Almost 2 weeks now till my 12 week scan and im feeling nervous all the time that everything’s okay.

It could be implantation cramping or your uterus stretching. But I would ring early pregnancy triage if you're worried for some reassurance

Thank you! ☺️

If you can’t seem to stop worrying, I would recommend ringing your early pregnancy department for some advice and comfort! I felt cramps all through my early pregnancy and if I’m honest, I still get them now and I’m just over 28 weeks, the cramps now are most likely due to different things but early pregnancy cramps are quite common, your uterus is growing and stretching which can cause pains and cramps called ligament cramps. It’s a good sign that you have had no bleeding with these cramps and that they aren’t severe, so it’s most likely nothing to worry about, but again always reach out to your early pregnancy department if you really feel like you need some comfort and advice. I’m sure everything will be okay and that this is just a natural symptom of you growing a new life!! ☺️❤️

Hey! I had this at week 8 and some of 9 I’m at 10 now and it’s settled! It was like a cramp and a sharp pulling pain, I did go to the early pregnancy unit as it’s my first and I had no idea if it was normal or not! They did reassure me that there’s so many different things going on and our body is adjusting to change so it’s normal 😊 x

Thanks so much everyone. X
