Christmas alone with toddler 🎄

I’m a single mum, my whole family lives in a different country and I don’t have many friends (the few I have will spend Christmas with their extended families). It’s just going to be me and my 2yo this year for the holidays, and although I know they’re not going to miss out on anything as they don’t really understand, I’m scared I’ll feel lonely and low on the day, like I failed my child 😕 any idea on anything nice I can do with them on the day?

What about matching pjs or Christmas jumpers to wear, Christmas baking or games, having a designated time to dance or singalong to Christmas songs, scheduling a Christmas movie that you both love, could you put time aside for a zoom call or FaceTime with your family who are overseas? x

@Jade I love and second this! Plan it all out ahead of time, create your own traditions and take lots of pictures whilst doing so! I used to feel sorry for my son for not having what most children do but he only knows what I show him so he’s not missing out on anything. His life’s just a little different to others 😊

Find little ways to make it nice! Puzzle, Christmas movie, Advent wreath/calendar, stocking, Christmas books, hot chocolate, apple cider, go for a walk to see the lights, Christmas coloring pages, Christmas eve service, decorate a small tree. Enjoy celebrating with your little one!

Decorate the house a bit get urself some treats so u feel good too x

I’m alone with my child every Xmas All I know is I’m doing my role as mom and that’s all that matters We open presents put on movies play games and eat!
