Period

I have PCOS and very irregular periods pre baby. I had a c-section 9 weeks ago and all was healed well, I also formula feed my baby. This evening I have got horrendous lower abdominal pain and I’m wondering if it could be my period. How long did everyone else’s periods take to come back and were they more painful?

I could have written this myself! Same experiences and my first period was after 10 weeks, then I went 53 days before my next one so even more irregular than before! I noticed my hormones were reaaaalllyyy bad x

Literally the exact same. I have PCOS and had my first very light period a month after giving birth(it only lasted 3 days). I had it again for 4 days maybe two weeks after that and now two months later I am having my first heavy period,so far it’s only been 2 days but it’s very heavy with no pain. I have been VERY hormonal. My period before used to be a week long ,very painful and It would be every 2 months. So we shall see. Last month I had really bad period cramps but no period 🥲

My period came back about 2 months after (I had a C-section). But that's because week 5 I went back on the pill. Before pregnancy, from the time we started trying, so December 2019 I stopped the pill which takes a month to leave the system. So technically we started Jan 2020. I had 2 or 3 periods between then and July last year. The last 1 was forced with Meds to start my IVF. Without the pill I don't seem to have periods. Though in 2022 drs started referring me to look into why. Turns out I have Pcos and looks like I have Endomitriosis. Not confirmed because instead of a small investigative surgery I chose IVF 1st. So I need to still need it looked into.
