Breast pump

Hey everyone. I need to get a double breast pump to help increase my milk supply. Does anyone have any recommendations? It doesn't have to be a wearable version, just looking for what people recommend to get the most out of pumping, as cheap as possible, please. Thank you.

I have the Bellababy wearable from Amazon and I love it, only paid £50 for the double pump brand new

I’ve bought (not used it yet but had it recommended to me) the lansinoh double electric pump- it has fantastic reviews and you can pump straight into the sterile storage bags which I really like! X

You can get a secondhand Spectra on eBay or vinted - the OG! And buy new bottles for it if that makes you feel better. Secondhand is quite good as lots of mums only pump for a few weeks and don't like it, or it doesn't work out, so many are close to new. I loved my Tommee Tippee single pump so would assume the double is good too, they only include 1 flange size though. Lansinoh double is the most useless machine I've ever tried, it was ok as a single pump but when both were connected it was too weak to produce a single drop on any flange size. Wearables are really useful later on when you're in work or your baby is more mobile/snoozing less but I wouldn't be trying to use one to get my supply up. They tend to be a little less powerful, they need to be recharged all the time, it's harder to use breast compressions. A full Elvie set is about £500 but you can get a slightly used set for ~£150. But would see how you get on with a regular pump first.

Spectra - hands down. I pumped exclusively for a while and it was amazing. It’s not the cheapest but you can get second hand ones on Vinted (it’s closed circuit so no milk touches the filter). Just buy new bits from amazon. I pumped for a year, and will use again for my second. Or if it’s temporary, you could look into hiring the medela symphony. https://www.medela-rental.co.uk/ I used this at the hospital and it really helped my milk supply. Good luck mama, don’t give up!
