I'm on Cyclizine and it works well most days! Some days are really rough and nothing seems to help x
I was prescribed Cyclizine and found it helpful! It works within 20-30 minutes
Same as you ladies. Feel like today it's done nothing š¤¢ xx
I tried cyclizine and now on Xonvea. Still struggling to be honest but trying to just accept the pregnancy cravings. Iāll try any safe remedy to be honest and trying to stay hydrated.
To be honest resting is the only thing that is actually helping
Iām exactly the same! My last pregnancy I was throwing everything up all day where Iām mostly just feeling constantly sick but not throwing up as much but itās awful! And somehow feels worse as thereās just no relief to the sick feeling. While looking after a 16 month old and not being able to nap all day it is horrendous š© I honestly find the only thing helping is getting a really long sleep the night before! It seems to ease the sick feeling slightly when I wake up but Iāve not tried any medications yet just cause nothing worked last time š„² I honestly feel like I canāt move with it! X
Yes. On my 2nd lot but got a GP appt tomorrow to move onto 3rd option š¢ I'm usually sick first thing but the nausea is relentless xx
Had constant nausea for 3 weeks now 10 weeks pregnant. Had Cyclizine which did nothing, then prescribed Prochlorperazine which also hasnāt helped. Some days are better than others but I havenāt had a single nausea free day so far. Hoping this goes away soon.
Currently Iām surviving by drinking sparkling water. It takes the edge off the nausea for a little bit (I need to keep drinking throughout the day) and it helps as I canāt stand the aftertaste of regular water. I have a soda stream and I was the same with my first pregnancy too. Iām the same I canāt stand the nausea all day long, just counting down the days and hope itās goes soon š¤
Advice from dietitian Lily Nichols: 5 Real Food Tips for Managing Nausea in Pregnancy 1. Eat small, frequent meals or snacks. 2. Balance your blood sugarāaim to include some protein and fat when you eat, even if the portion is small). 3. Try salty, sour, or cold foods. 4. Keep a snack at your bedside and move slowly first thing in the morning. 5. Consider eating more (and/or supplementing with) ginger, vitamin B6, and magnesium. https://www.mother.ly/life/natural-ways-to-manage-morning-sickness/#rebelltitem4 Lily Nichols is always up to date on scientific studies and scrutinises the data. Personally, I think the key is blood sugar regulation. The advice of having crackers and other form of bland carbs will just lead to more blood sugar highs and lows. So snacking protein and fat seems like a better option. I know it's hard... Perhaps be reassured that nausea is more correlated with keeping the pregnancy going. So hang on!
I had cyclizine, metoclopramide, prochloperazine, xonvea and ondansetron nothing worked but thereās a few options drs can try xx
@Kate were you given Xonvea after trying Cyclizine, or did you have to try others first? Waiting for my Dr to call me back as Cyclizine is not working unfortunately!
I had cyclizine first, then called and asked to try Xonvea instead.
Thanks ladies, Iāll have a trip to the doctors then! Nice to know there are things that may help, wasnāt sure if it was just something we had to put up with š x
