Acid reflux, does goats milk help?

Tried lots of different things to help my 4 week old baby with acid reflux as it’s causing her lots of pain as the acid is coming up and she’s swallowing it down or being sick. Shes been on gaviscon that made her constipated, and omaprezole which made her really sick, but seen a few people mention goats milk helped their little one. Anyone had any experience with this they could share to help me decide if it’s worth a try.

https://www.carolsmyth.co.uk/breastfeeding-resources/posts/2015/may/reflux-and-breastfeeding/ I would read carol Smyths blogs and her book about reflux if possible before trying anything including medication. It applies even if not breastfeeding. But no please don't give baby goats milk unless it's formulated for infants i.e goats milk formula.

Thank you, I’m already doing lots of other stuff too so it reduces air and we’re looking into tongue tie aswell. We’ve changed teats and dummies, feeding technique, doing oral stretches and stretches to release tension, we’ve seen an oesteopath aswell. The milk is goats milk formula the same brand as the formula milk I’m using

Have you maybe tried a comfort milk?

My baby has severe reflux which has caused many other issues causing hospital trips. He’s on the highest dose of Omeprazole for his age and it’s not working as well, so my health visitor advised giving Carobel made by Cow&Gate as well as. I’d definitely ask your health visitor if she would recommend using Carobel too! Please ask for medical advice from your health visitor first to see if it’s suitable for your individual baby :)

@Evie-Marie ahh sorry to hear that it’s horrible to see them in pain. I’ll have a look into that and will mention it when I call them. Thank you ☺️
