TW! Gagging

My 16 month old has a thing of making himself gag? We was just having dinner and with his yogurt spoon he was shoving it down his throat making himself gag? Is this normal? Or should I be concerned 🙄🤔

Definitely normal my 1 year old loved shoving her fingers down her throat it was so weird but I guess they’re just figuring out how their bodies work 🤣

my 19 month old does this constantly with her fingers it makes me gag just watching her 😭😭 I think it’s teething related but she’s running around with all 4 fingers down her throat all the time 🫠

My nephew used to do this all the time around that age, he loved just making the sound as well and would do it until he actually gagged🤣 no clue why they do it but it’s definitely normal

Just had a little read up and it seems it’s nothing more than them just exploring the things their bodies can do😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Unfortunately normal. Comes and goes in phases.

Thank you everyone!! Just double checking lol😂😂 he’s mental as it is so just adds to it😂

Normal, I had to warn the nursery my LB goes to as they normally send them home if they're sick. But he did it after every meal to make himself sick. So I said watch him after meal times. But he rarely does it now at 2.

Normal! My son has been doing it for a while before/after naps and before bedtime, which resulted in us rushing to him a lot of the time. Now I wait a few moments before checking him to try discourage him doing it for attention.

My little sister did this too 😂
