Persistent headache

Hoping to find some reassurance or similar stories! I have had a headache since Tuesday. I have seen midwife & various GPs but I’m still in pain. It’s like a tension headache with the pressure but also some fancy light show episodes of diagonal strips of light. My blood pressure is okay, no infections in urine & for the most part I feel well. I’m waiting on yet another call back, I have an appointment with the opticians but it’s not until Wednesday. Any advice welcomed, paracetamol & cold packs aren’t really fixing it. I’m 21wks.

I was going to ask about your blood pressure do you have it checked on a regular basis

I was going to say make sure you book in with the opticians. Do you suffer with migraines? X

@Amy it’s been checked three times this week. I’m usually on the super low side of good or low bp like my last pregnancy. I’ve had a pretty easy pregnancy and had no concerns until now thankfully.

@Ellie Not particularly, I get the odd one every few months or so usually brought on hormonally or from work-stress. I’ve never had one last 6 days like this though 😞

I find heat better than cold for a bad tension type headache. Hot water bottle held to your head and drink hot water/ herbal tea. Hope it eases soon x

@Milly I do heat on neck, cold on forehead/temples. Like a double whammy. I’m just hoping to feel more myself and get a decent nights sleep 😴 waking up in pain then struggling to go back to sleep is torture.
