Exercise- where do you find the time?

Before I had my LO I was very fit, lots of running and gym. Now I have my toddler and I work 4 long days a week and the day I have off I'm with him and do foodshopping, housework etc. My husband is a triathlete so he does lots of exercise and training (competes for GB amateur level). The only time I can realistically exercise on weekdays is 8pm and then we eat dinner at 9pm. But quite frankly since I've been out the house since 7am on nursery drop off, then work, then pickup, then dinner and Bedtime, I'm shattered. I do have a running buggy but LO not always keen to go in it. I've not lost much of the baby weight and it's getting me down. Now I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my second. Just want to know I'm not alone?

I bought a waking pad to do some when they sleep but gym wise...no time

Things like running I don’t have time for anymore. I try to power walk as much as possible so during the week when I’m Working I will park in the furthest away part of the car park and power walk to my building and make sure I always take the stairs. I’m not sure what you do for work but other tips are instead of phoning someone from your desk just get up and go and see them, use your lunch break to walk and then eat at your desk. Also look into house worksercise. There’s loads of exercises you can do while doing the house chores. I manage to fit squats and lunges in haha. I know it won’t get you up to the same level as your husband but it might help you feel a bit better xx

I 100% can empathise with you. I’m currently 35 weeks with me second and my husband trains for half marathons etc. we had to really sit down together and workout a schedule of when we can both exercise. Some days I’d just get up a bit earlier (I’m fortunate and have a peloton at home so it’s easy to do a mixture and I bought some weights for home plus did the yoga). I’d recommend one if you’re able to, they also have a lot of pre and post natal bits to access to. I would exercise during nap time but my little one has recently started to refuse naps 🤦🏻‍♀️ it’s so hard but so important to try and maintain that time for you that’s protected x
