Baby reduce movements

I’m 34 weeks 4 days pregnant. Since, last night my baby is not moving as much as he does normally. I also had pain in my belly twice. Maybe I’m just panicking… does this ever happen to any of you?

Any reduce movements should be discussed with triage no matter what stage of pregnancy you are in

Any reduced or change of baby movements should always get checked out I would call triage as it’s better to be safe most the time it will all be okay but they say never to ignore it no matter how many times it happens x

Any reduced or change in pattern should get checked out at triage, i would give them a call xx

Call them. You can go in and they'll tell you rather than you worry..the other week they told me I'm fine and they're not concerned. I said I am and they said ok, we'll see you soon.

Go ASAP. At this stage you should be going if you don't feel movements for a few hours. They'll prioritise you so you don't have to wait as long as others (could be anything from 10 minutes to an hourish depending on time of day/how busy they are/number of staff/other emergencies), and they'll put you either on a doppler or CTG to check baby's heartbeat and movements. My baby always gets active when the CTG is on which is apparently normal as they tend to hate it. I've been to triage 4 or 5 times since July for reduced movements, and got admitted twice last week for it. It's almost always quite straightforward, but if there are any issues and they need a doctor then that's when it can get long waiting for results or a discussion with the doctor, so take food, chargers/powerbanks and something to entertain yourself with.

Hiya! What about baby’s increased movements? 36w today x

@Bridget any excessive movements should also be checked. Any changes to babies pattern of movement should be checked. That’s the only way they can tell us they’re ok

@Ceri-Ann been to triage. Thanks! CTG is fine, consultant is happy w it. Advised us to just go back whenever I feel unusual decrease or increase.
