Baby not drinking formula

Hi all. My baby is a month old and we're using Mam bottles and cow and gate milk. Over the last two days my baby hasn't drunk enough formula, he usually has around 100ml-120ml but his been only having around 50-70ml. When I try and give him the bottle again to continue feeding, he puts it out and gags (like I've put the worst thing imaginable in his bottle/on his teat) and refuses to take the bottle again, and still gives me hunger cues and is hungry. Ive not changed the way I do anything with him, Has anyone had anything similar?

He has also been using cow and gate formula and mam bottles since birth x

I don’t personally have experience with this but could you try different formula?

Have you tried introducing a dummy? Our little one does the same thing so we give him a dummy which we’ve found is usually what he wants. He does wake about 15-30 mins later to finish his bottle x

@Mia ahhh okay, yeah he has had his dummy for a while x ill give that a go thank you x

@Ellen I will give this a try but I wanna see if there's anything else we can do before that cause I don't want to upset his stomach ect x

Could he need to size up with the bottle teat? I’ve not had this but I remember looking at when a baby would need to size up with the bottles and it says they start getting fussy and drinking slower? Maybe it’s not coming out fast enough and he’s getting a bit impatient so going on a hunger strike instead? Xx

@Sian I was thinking this, I'm going to give it a go on my next bottle feed x
