Feels like waiting a lifetime

With my first, I had my first midwife appointment by 9 weeks, scan by 11 weeks. This time I had my first midwife appointment at 11 weeks 5 days and my scan isn’t until Friday 18th which will make me over 13weeks of my dates are correct. Everything feels much slower this time round, and I didn’t know you had less midwife appointments with your second pregnancy 😂 so now I’m like, what am i suppose to between 16 weeks and 28 weeks when they next see me 😂 anyone had their second pregnancy and felt like their care was a lot slower, it’s not an issue necessarily for me but I’m just confused as I still don’t have a definite ‘due date’ and I’m 13 weeks pregnant😂 I want to book my gender scan but I can’t until I know how far along I am so I make sure I don’t book one too early

I found with this one because I’m low risk. (Everything went smoothly with my first. Spontaneous labour at 40+2 less than 24hrs labour) that I’m basically in and out. Booking in appointment was less than 15 min. Same with the midwife after the scan. They are like ooo you’re low risk, cya next time 😂

@Natalie I’m actually classed as a high risk pregnancy this time round due to having a csection with my first so I’m just shocked at how laid back they’ve been this time. Had such a smooth pregnancy with my first whereas this time I’m struggling big time 😂

I'm high risk this time around due to complications with my first, but feel like I've had loads of appointments already. Although I had to have my dating scan rebooked because baby was measuring smaller at the first - not surprising though because I knew I'd ovulated late in that cycle. I also have 4 extra growth scans towards the end and have additional appointments with a consultant. Had my first during lockdowns, so a lot more in person appointments this time around. Last time I booked a private scan at 16 weeks to see the gender because my husband wasn't allowed in the NHS scans with me, that's an option just for reassurance, otherwise this group has your back xx
