Fussy baby

My son just turned 4 months today and has been SO fussy in the last couple of weeks. He doesn’t like to sit in the swing, bouncer, his little chair, car seat, nothing. He only likes to be held but only wants to be walked around with. Contact naps are the only way he will nap. I feel like I get no time to myself because he only wants mom. When he cries it’s to the point I don’t know what to do but to pick him up. Any tips?

I don’t have any tips. I’m just offering consolidation. I’m literally googling what to do right now because my baby is refusing to sleep. Been trying to put her to sleep for an hour now. Having to remember it’s only a season and thankful for Red Bull.

@Ginger Cummins YES! I have been living on google trying to figure out ways to help him & myself😭 we will get through this 🤞🏼

My son has been the same way until I realized he’s teething and just wanted some extra love but I noticed after giving him Tylenol for the teething he’s able to sit and give me a moment for myself. Been working like a charm and I’ve noticed he started fake crying which is sometimes hard to tell with 4 month old. It’s definitely tough and I feel yu mama! I feel guilty sometimes when I need time for me when he’s crying and I’m tired.

@Jawanna I have started to think he has been teething so yesterday I started giving him Tylenol and it kinda helped for a little bit. & yes I feel so guilty whenever I want a second and he’s just crying. Just hoping this stage gets better soon!

You may be going through the 4 month sleep regression. We have been in it for couple weeks but I’m hoping we’re in the coming out phase 🤞 Someone told me to bounce them up and down and shhh shhh to console them. While it didn’t put him to sleep it calmed him down for sure. His day naps recently returned back to normal and are actually longer now. He’s taking longer to fall asleep but giving longer stretches again. This shall pass mamas!
