October babies

Who of you had baby already and had vaginal birth and tore ? If you have stitches, how to clean that area well ? 😭 & can you wear a tight waist trainer ?

I had a second degree tear, and i’m using my perri bottle, and dabbing with toilet paper. And using tucks pads with spray

I tore with both, second with the first and first degree with the second. Did the same as Jordan. I wore a belly band with my first and a compression nursing shirt with my second. Helped A LOT! I'm not completely sure how waist trainers work but I would do something you can adjust

@Jordan for how long do we have to do this for ? Is it 2 weeks or the 6 weeks ?

@Favi but it would be acceptable to wear one already right after giving birth ? And can’t do any lifting right ?

I think it’s until you heal. but i just had my baby on monday, so im still doing these things. I don’t always do the tucks pads, only if im hurting. also in the hospital they have amazing ice packs you’ll want those. And maybe buy some for after.

Had an episiotomy and tears with 1st and 2nd some tears. First poop is scary. Use a peri bottle to keep clean, use witch hazel pads and dermoplast spray to keep the area pain free

@Jordan I haven’t used any after coming home. But if I need it it would be helpful to get some !!

I also didn’t buy any, and have been fine, but i know some people swear by them

@Jordan yep very true but I’ve been fine too which is good

@Charlie why is it scary ? That’s what I been thinking since that day

I had a slight tear, it was more an internal tear though so I'm just using my little spray bottle after going to the bathroom and patting dry, then spraying with dermoplast.

Had a second degree tear, and like Jordan I gave birth on Monday, and I use a perri bottle and dab with toilet paper. I am also using tucks pads and numbing spray (only when I’m feeling really sore). As for a tight waist trainer, I am using one, but it’s one of those Velcro ones so it might just be considered a “belly band” but it’s been working really well for me and I honestly feel super supported in it too

what is the belly band specifically for ? For the actual belly left from the pregnancy or ?

My baby came early due date today the 12th but baby came the 3rd I did tear but I told them I didn’t want stitches they applied pressure till bleeding stopped, the hospital usually give you things to take care of your situation but just in case they don’t, Get a Perri bottle to spray the pee as it comes out or face the burn, witch hazel pads, some type of healing spray (there are many options but a lot of people use Dermoplast) and also use ice pads to help with the swelling and yes after birth you can wear a trainer but just know you will still have contraction as if you about to push out another baby and it might be uncomfortable

I tore and it sucks really bad honestly, but today marks one week and I’m feeling pretty flippin good finally. I’ve been soaking in the bath, using the peri bottle, gently wiping with baby wipes, dabbing with tp, and using witch hazel in my pads. Peeing is the most uncomfortable because it burns, so I have to lean a very specific way to avoid the burn 😅 Oh, and ibuprofen is my new bestie

Yeah I’m really curious what the belly band is for? Is it supposed to help your belly go back to normal?

Also take stool softener religiously because although it doesn’t really hurt much, pooping is scary af

Yes, it’s to help with the belly go back to normal/support, it just allows you to put it as tight as you want it or as “loose” as you want it without having to deal with hooks like some waist trainers have

@Imira oh wow, what made you not get stitches ?

@Kristi you got it girl !!

@Madlyn ima need that better 😆

https://a.co/d/2y9x5I4 This is the link for the one I’m using , it’s like 3 belts but it works pretty well

I was already in a lot of pain I delivered without any pain meds or epidural and just didn’t want to go through more pain, I also just wanted them to stop touching me due to my pain the kept feeling around and checking things out and it felt like they were taking forever to do what they had to do prolonging my pain

@Madlyn thank you !

@Imira understandable, in that point you don’t want them bothering you!

Yes I was just exhausted and then I was in the hospital from 10/3-10/5 and I didn’t get any sleep cause they were in and out of my room kept touching me and baby and asking many question I was literally up for more than 24hrs by time they were done taking to me baby had to eat, when baby finished eating someone else coming into my room or the food was being delivered 🤦🏾‍♀️
