normal or not?

I feel like the midwife told me they should be poohing every day, but the docs won't do anything until they've gone 72 hours without poohing. You can always speak with the midwife if you're worried as I'm assuming your still under them? X

We had this earlier in the week with our little girl, hadn’t been in over 24 hours called the midwife and asked and they said it’s normal for EBF babies to not poo everyday as breastmilk has everything they need in so they don’t produce much waste sometimes, she said they can go 2 weeks without a poo. However our little girl went later that night and treated us to a poonami 😂 so yes can be normal but if concerned you can speak to the midwife or health visitor x

thank you both! i had the same with my eldest and was told the same thing about them sometimes going up to 2 weeks, but she was about 3 weeks old, so wasn't sure if it is okay this young. if she doesn't go today i'll give midwife/hv a ring x
