All Day Nausea

Just wondering how anyone else might be coping with morning sickness that can actually occur at any time of day. Nurse told me to take 25mg of Vitamin B6 3x daily but that hasn’t helped at all. My cousin who had severe nausea was prescribed zofran. Not sure if this is the next step. How do you ladies cope — I have a bucket by my side constantly. Here’s to hoping it fades further down the line.

They can give you a prescription which is B6 with unisom. That helped me enough, but if it doesn't work for you then they can prescribe zofran

zofran doesn’t work for me personally for some reason, my first pregnancy i had no option but to just wait it out. I would definitely ask your doctor for a zofran prescription if you feel like it would improve your nausea! i’m taking b6 + doxylamine. In this pregnancy my nausea comes in waves, my cure has been chicken broth and short rests! But nothing at all helped my first pregnancy sadly. I will say that by 11-13 weeks nausea typically goes away!

I didn’t take meds but I remember having to walk super slowly anywhere I went. I had a bucket by my bedside and had to carry it with me anywhere I went. Anything could set it off - walking, smells, taking a bus, lying in the wrong position. I also had to change what I was eating to avoid anything that made me feel more nauseous. Once I found a meal that worked for me, I ate it every morning lol 🙈😂 It doesn’t help that the vomiting started after getting a stomach bug. It gave me vomiting and diarrhea for over 2 days. I received hydration for 2 days til I felt better.

Find a smell like peppermint, lemon, or something that calms your nausea and find a way to have that around you at all times. It could be perfume, diffuser, candle, wax warmer, dryer sheets, car fragrances, or a simmer pot. Just anything that helps. Wear a mask everywhere if you have to.

Also ginger chews helped a little bit

@Andi same exact thing happened to me 🥲

@Lia L. This seems to be dependent from person to person. I bought loads of ginger chews but they didn’t appear to help at all 🙈

Sailing bands can help and easy to reach sweets with ginger / peppermint to suck on… still on the boat with you

I’ve been dealing with constant nausea. Taking 50mg of B6 2x a day, but I don’t know how helpful that is. Trying to drink plenty of water, and keep something in my stomach (a lot of crackers, string cheese, and oranges). I try to eat as soon as I wake up. I think sea-bands are helping the most. The days I wear them I feel the best. Emetrol is also helpful but I try not to rely on it too much.

unisom doxycycline succinate 25 mg one tablet every night has pretty much cured my nausea for the most part. I am just now adding in vit b6

The smell of rubbing alcohol gets rid of nausea for some reason 🤷
