Nursery Vs Boomer In-Laws?

What’s better for my 8 Month old in terms of Childcare. Would Nursery be better over boomer in-laws that will do whatever the fuck they want? Also would it better for my little one to be in nursery for the full day or nursery in the morning then the in-laws in the afternoon or would this negatively impact my child in terms of different people looking after him would it better for one or the other for the full day? Current thoughts of someone that doesn’t want to go back to work.

Don't forget it's also what's best for you. Could you cope with your inlaws looking after your child daily, I know I couldn't. Nursery has benefits that play is centresld around learning, making early friends etc. If you did want to split it, I'd do a few full days with grandparents and then the rest full days at nursey

How many days would they look after him? It’s a huge tie to their free time and they will probably find it very tiring. I would possibly ask your in laws (depending on how many days) and as your son is older, walking and needs more social interaction choose nursery.

I would go for daycare. I can't personally deal with boomers actitud and would prefer my child being in a place with people trained for any emergency and doing activities with them then leaving him with people who couldn't response in case of emergency and most of it could be dangerous for my baby (most of boomers give whatever food they want, doesn't secure their home,...).

I think you need to think about what’s right for you and your family. We have decided not to opt for nursery because I personally have worked in them and don’t like the way they are with children 99.9% of the time, I worked for an agency so I saw a lot favouring which I don’t want for my son, id be constantly worrying about him so as a family we have come to a solution. I think you have got to be realistic, are you going to be able to fully commit to work whether your son is with your in laws or nursery? Have a think and decide where you would be happier for baby to be. There’s no right or wrong it’s about what works best for you and your family xx

Both are fine in general. It’s okay for baby to have multiple different people watching him in one day. However it sounds like you suspect your in laws will be unreliable and not respect your wishes - as such, trust your gut - it sounds like nursery would be better in this particular situation
