pelvic pain

has anyone at all got any advice or recommendations on how to help pelvic girdle pain (PGP) i’m in constant agony all the time, doing simple things like walking, going up n down stairs, turning over in bed etc. i’ve had a look on NHS website and everything they recommend im already doing but nothing seems to work! i’m almost 36 weeks so not long to go at all but im really struggling and with me having a toddler to run around after too, it’s really hard for me at the moment! any advice at all will be greatly appreciated:)

Birthing ball really helped me when I had time to use it

Go to a chiropractor and then do some stretching and physical therapy

The only thing that gives me slight relief is a belly band. Other than that, nothing unfortunately 😢 you can ask for physio or pain killers as well x

It also helped me to soak in a warm (not hot) bath with Epsom salt and apple cider vinegar

I take hot baths and that’s about the only thing that helps but it’s hard to get a relaxing bath in nowadays. I’m in the exact same boat though, so don’t feel too alone! Currently 36 weeks with a 14 month old and i think I’ve cried about every single day this past week, im in so much pain 🥲 I wear a belly band and the dr suggested some exercises to do but HELLO?? they hurt 😭😭 im just taking it day by day at this point and crying when i need to.

thankyou all:)

@Kass thankyou:) my LO is nearly 2 and he’s rouge so it’s hard to say the least but i had a check on NHS website and it says to exercise but don’t do anything that causes the pain, i asked a midwife before too if i could take anything for it and she said because it’s the kinda thing that hurts when your moving, painkillers wouldn’t even do anything so it’s useless, i absolutely love pregnancy and adored it with my first but this time round seems so much worse and obvs i don’t think chasing a feral toddler around helps either, it’s just absolute agony to do anything, counting down the days to get this little guy outta me😅

Also when you move around like getting in and out of the car try to move both legs at the same time

Birthing ball helps, warm baths or a heating pad, but there are safe and simple yoga stretches you can do that I find make a huge difference. If you just google search pelvic girdle stretches third trimester you’ll find them. I’ve found all of them combined helps (ball, warm shower, heating pad, light walk, stretching) I try to do them every other day and it makes a difference. I’m 38 weeks tomorrow. Good luck, you got this! Almost there
