Weird baby symptoms
Hi! I’m wondering if someone encountered similar symptoms with their babies. My 12 weeks old had 4 poos today all with a tiny bit of mucus in them. He’s also been vomiting quite a bit. He does have a cold for a few days, just a tiny bit congested at times, nothing major.
He looks happy, doesn’t seem like something’s bothering him. He has reflux in general so vomiting is not out of the ordinary it’s just a bit more consistent today.
He’s EBF and google says a small amount of mucus is fine. My instinct says he’s fine since his mood is not changed and he doesn’t show any sort of discomfort. But the fact that he had stools a lot more often than usual combined with the vomiting makes me wonder if he’s ok or not. Since it’s Saturday I was thinking of calling 111 just to make sure but before that I wanted to know any thoughts or if anyone experienced the same with their babies

Has he just had his 12 week immunisations? The rotavirus vaccine can have some side-effects on the digestive system in particular

You could always call 111 just to put your mind at ease - it may well just be a cold/a bit of flu, but it might be good just to hear that from a healthcare professional. If he seems ok in himself that’s usually a really good sign though x

My baby has been like that too the past couple of days (back to normal today) she also has a little cold. Her temperature is fine and she’s been fine in herself so I’ve not been too worried. She isn’t usually sick so that worried me a bit but only lasted 24 hours
