I just think he means it’s cold season everyone gets sick this time a year it shouldn’t be that big of a deal
@Vanessa lol thats what I told him. He was like I didn’t say that 🙄 I mostly stayed home with my toddler that one day and bc I was coughing non stop but if it weren’t for my toddler I probably would have went in to work. Ughh I hate sick season . Can we just skip it?
Hi! Totally understand the feeling of here we go again. Does your husband have a job where he can take off? Does your job make you feel shitty when taking off or you do? Aside from all this , we have if hard trying to balance full time work and sick kids as the primary parent!
I doubt you will lose your job when you missed a single day of work. Did you miss work because you yourself were sick or the children? Either way, I would hope/assume if this happens again to your fam that he would then miss work instead of you again? Cold season is approaching and people get sick all the time so he can get over it lol.
What kind of job are you in that you can't miss a day for being ill? Colds do happen and it's the season for them.
I believe they’re not allowed to fire you over being legitimately being sick. Well, if that’s the case, make yourself and your family some elderberry syrup. Easy recipes on Pinterest. Or go buy some with no additional ingredients or extra sugars. Take it daily. Literally daily, even when not sick.
I think of it, you only have one health. You’re so replaceable at work. And it sounds like your job doesn’t care anyway. It’s health related, they should care.
Sounds like it’s his turn to miss work since you did last time
My daughter has brought something home EVERY WEEK since starting kindergarten. I told my boss that she knew this when she hired me and that I will always get my work done/made up for but in the times that we’re all sick, there’s only so much I can do and she understands that and doesn’t blame me at all
I’ll also say I think he should miss a day or two so you don’t miss anymore but worst case, there’s only so much you can do
And getting child care, outside of daycare, to stay home with my sick toddler wasn’t easy either. So I’m really hoping we all don’t get sick again for a little while. I guess this post was more of a rant than anything.
